This idea started as an act of kindness and compassion for our troops
in Iraq and Afghanistan. Compassion and kindness should ALWAYS
transcend political ideologies. Our support of the troops should be
unwavering. The plain and simple truth is that they may be there for a
while. We feel the need to do our part. Most wonderful things start
with a germ of an idea...Our idea is to send hand made lip balm and lotion overseas by way of our local National Guard Unit, the Army Reserve Unit, school groups around the area and any other way that you may suggest. So far we have sent tubes of lavender lip butter to the National Guard Reserve Unit based in Appleton and plan to contribute more to the Army Reserve next week. Our lip butter promises "soft kisses for your lips", so it's our way of sending "kisses from home". Others have joined us in this effort. Mrs. Stapelford's class at St. Mary's in Kaukauna is sending kisses in their care package project.
